Summer is coming. We can start to feel it. The weather is changing every day and we can feel the difference. And soon, our kids will feel it too. Also, we will have them around the house almost all season due to Summer break. So, as a parent, what should you do? Well, we have some ideas for summer learning. Keep your children entertained this summer with these tips and help them enjoy this season to the max.
Gardening
One of the most rewarding activities to do during summer is gardening. Even as adults, we love doing it. So, why not teach our kids a bit of it as well? If you want to keep your kids entertained try to do some gardening with them. It is a great way to teach them about the environment and some plants. And, they also learn new life skills.
Hiking
Again, something we adults do. One of the things we all love to do during summer is go hiking. And, depending on your city there might be several hiking trails you want to try. Nowadays there are also hiking trails that are kid-friendly so, why not get them on board? This is a fun way to keep kids active and also help them channel that raw kid energy they all have in summer. You can even organize a hiking day with other parents and increase the fun.
Loose Parts Play
One of our last ideas for summer learning is loose parts play. This is a fun thing to do if you have a big backyard. Or even inside the house. What you have to do is give your kids a bunch of objects that might not have a relation between them but, that is the great thing about kids. They will find a way to make use of them. Playing this game will encourage their creative skills which is something they need. So, don’t sleep on these ideas.
