UNICEF explains that bullying is a form of intimidation that can be identified by three characteristics: intent, repetition, and power. A bully intends to cause pain.

How? Through physical harm or hurtful words or behavior, and does so repeatedly.

Experts say that bullying can first appear in early childhood. Children as young as two years old can exhibit hurtful behavior with their parents and partners.

Children between the ages of  2 to 4 may exhibit aggressive behaviors to defend their toys. While older children, ages 4 to 6, begin to use hurtful behaviors to bully other children.

In recent studies, it has been determined that a large percentage of children who bully their peers in most cases, the child does not know how to manage their emotions.
